Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Boddah Johnson (ranked 24692 p4p, 0 weight class) and Long Wang (ranked 5277 p4p, 480 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Johnson darts in trying to clinch and Wang counters with a shoot takedown. Johnson fights it but they end up in guard. Johnson wants to control but Wang is keeping busy and won't allow it. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. It looks like Wang might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wang is continuing to stall. Wang stands and throws Johnson's legs to the side, diving into side control. That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee asks Wang politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Wang prefers to stall for the moment though. Wang is looking to take a break and control but Johnson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Wang controls the position. Wang trying to control the action but Johnson is working from the bottom. Johnson trying to remain calm as Wang controls from the top position. Wang working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Johnson remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Wang will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Johnson staying busy and making it hard for Wang to control. Wang really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Johnson. Wang seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Johnson's chin but Johnson turns very nicely into Wang's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Johnson.

That's eight minutes gone in the round. Wang is pulling down on Johnson's head. It's preventing any offense from Johnson, at least for the moment. Wang is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Wang looking to secure an arm triangle but Johnson defends it well. Johnson tries to lock up and control but Wang gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Johnson is trying desperately to improve position. Wang tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Wang with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Johnson (8) vs (21) Wang Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wang drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wang jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
