Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rick Jackson (ranked 2442 p4p, 291 weight class) and ALex Waid (ranked 14734 p4p, 571 weight class). Rick Jackson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rick Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, ALex Waid!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waid keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nice sprawl there from Jackson as Waid shoots in.
Jackson throws a nice looking combination but Waid bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jackson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Waid has a takedown stuffed.
Waid is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Waid is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jackson's half guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Jackson's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
