Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Skinny Boy!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Velasquez sprawls well. Velasquez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Boy gets slowly back to his feet.

Velasquez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Velasquez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Boy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Velasquez's guard.

Velasquez is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Boy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Velasquez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Boy has his foot on Velasquez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Velasquez works his way back into a safe position though.

Boy drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Velasquez manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Boy has Velasquez in his guard.

Velasquez wants to get up but he can't break Boy's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Boy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Velasquez pinned against the cage. Velasquez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Boy.
As Boy tries to get set, Velasquez tries to push him back and clinch up but Boy manages to avoid the attempt.
Boy tries to score a power double leg takedown but Velasquez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Boy somewhat.

Skinny Boy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Benton Velasquez is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Skinny Boy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Velasquez has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
