Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fredrik Rienfeldt (ranked 1537 p4p, 212 weight class) and Alen Ohanian (ranked 1976 p4p, 257 weight class). Ohanian has chosen The Eternals - Wrath of Zeus as his entrance music. Fredrik Rienfeldt has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rienfeldt misses the shot to the body.

Ohanian rushes Rienfeldt and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Ohanian breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rienfeldt just misses with a punch to the body.
Rienfeldt throws a nice outside leg kick.
Rienfeldt misses with a wild body shot.
Rienfeldt feints and then cracks Ohanian's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ohanian down.

and Rienfeldt cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Ohanian throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rienfeldt tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ohanian is in Rienfeldt's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rienfeldt is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Rienfeldt has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Rienfeldt wants to sweep here but Ohanian controlling him for the moment.
Ohanian slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rienfeldt blocks a head kick by Ohanian.

Ohanian closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Ohanian displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rienfeldt throws out the jab.
Alen Ohanian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ohanian stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
A solid leg kick lands there for Rienfeldt.
Rienfeldt keeps the fight on the outside.
Ohanian throws a poor cross that misses
and Rienfeldt makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Rienfeldt has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Ohanian.
Ohanian lands a nice shot that snaps Rienfeldt's head back.
Rienfeldt looks for the body kick but Ohanian saw that one coming.
Ohanian doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Rienfeldt moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Ohanian.
Ohanian misses with a hook. Rienfeldt ducked under it nicely.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Rienfeldt, right into the meat.
Ohanian connects with a looping right hand.

and Rienfeldt counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Rienfeldt uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ohanian.
Ohanian throws a hook to the side of Rienfeldt's head but Rienfeldt sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

enabling Rienfeldt to counter with a crisp jab.

Ohanian fails with an attempt to clinch.

Ohanian shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rienfeldt napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rienfeldt is trying to get back to half guard.
Rienfeldt looks to move to half guard but instead Ohanian has passed into mount! Damn!
Ohanian tries to control but Rienfeldt wriggling away.
Rienfeldt tries to lock up and control but Ohanian gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Fredrik Rienfeldt will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Fredrik Rienfeldt is winning the standup battle so far.

Rienfeldt walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Ohanian moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Ohanian stalks Rienfeldt and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rienfeldt's face. Rienfeldt staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Fredrik Rienfeldt has been cut.
Rienfeldt scores with a sloppy right hand. Ohanian should have avoided that one.
Rienfeldt throws the left hand but Ohanian avoids the punch easily.
Ohanian misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rienfeldt.
Rienfeldt uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ohanian.
Ohanian tries to close the distance and clinch but Rienfeldt swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rienfeldt lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Ohanian - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Rienfeldt!
