Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Rutherford (ranked 905 p4p, 122 weight class) and Harry Winston (ranked 2191 p4p, 260 weight class). Winston has chosen The Lost Boy as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Harry Winston!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rutherford lands a left and a right that send Winston crashing to the mat, dazed. Rutherford thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Rutherford fails with a takedown attempt.
We've been told by Rutherford's head coaches at Big Bear Fight Factory that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Winston dives in and scores a takedown into Rutherford's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Winston postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Winston in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Winston makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Rutherford preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Winston throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Rutherford is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Winston throws an elbow that misses. Rutherford uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Winston's guard. Nice move by Rutherford!

Rutherford wants to pass the guard but Winston is keeping the position.

Winston is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Rutherford trying to control but Winston is working from the bottom.
Rutherford stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Winston swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Winston avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Winston has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Rutherford should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Winston has tightened it up now! Rutherford should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
