Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terje Warholm (ranked 1611 p4p, 206 weight class) and George Peterson (ranked 1759 p4p, 231 weight class). George Peterson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 13 - 1, fighting out of New York, Terje Warholm! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Peterson! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Warholm uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Peterson. Warholm appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Peterson misses with an uppercut. Warholm cracks the inside of Peterson's front leg. Warholm lands a slapping body shot.
Peterson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Warholm. Warholm lands an overhand right. Peterson tries to clinch up. Warholm lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Peterson avoids a kick to the body.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Peterson is looking to clinch. Warholm uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Peterson. Peterson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Warholm manages to avoid it. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. A punch lands to the side of Peterson 's head but he takes it in his stride. Peterson cracks Warholm with a good jab.

It looks like George Peterson has been cut. George Peterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Warholm finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Peterson rushes Warholm and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Warholm escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Warholm counters with a lovely shot to the body. Peterson cracks Warholm with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Peterson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Warholm manages to avoid it. Peterson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Warholm swats him away and circles back towards the center. Warholm throws a body punch but Peterson moves out of range. Warholm connects with a body shot that sends Peterson's belly button to the back. Warholm pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Warholm lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Warholm loads up on a big right hand but Peterson slips the punch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Warholm throws a half hearted mid kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Peterson gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Warholm lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
