Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angus MacCallum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MacCallum has chosen Scotland the Brave as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sam Carwin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Angus MacCallum! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Carwin. Carwin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Carwin goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, MacCallum has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Carwin but great work by MacCallum. Carwin manages to get back to half guard. MacCallum missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Carwin flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
MacCallum prevents Carwin from improving his position. MacCallum trying to control from half guard but Carwin is working away. MacCallum prevents Carwin from improving his position. Carwin looking for submissions off his back. Carwin is not content to let MacCallum control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Carwin looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for MacCallum! MacCallum tries to hold on but Carwin pushes him away. MacCallum really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
MacCallum holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Carwin tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
MacCallum sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. MacCallum slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Carwin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Carwin throws a strike but MacCallum rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Carwin working for a triangle but MacCallum defends it easily.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Carwin is looking for a triangle but MacCallum pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carwin is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carwin had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. MacCallum is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Carwin Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take MacCallum's back instead. MacCallum really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carwin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. MacCallum is trying to get back to his feet but Carwin has full control of the position and if anything, MacCallum has just worked his way into a worse spot. MacCallum tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! MacCallum is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Carwin unloading with bombs! MacCallum has left one of his arms exposed and Carwin doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. MacCallum screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
