Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Naoise Durnin (ranked 823 p4p, 111 weight class) and Mika Allu (ranked 1239 p4p, 154 weight class). Durnin comes to the cage accompanied by I'm Shipping Up To Boston by The Dropkick Murphy's. Naoise Durnin could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Mika Allu's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Naoise Durnin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mika Allu! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Allu circles away from the clinch attempt.
Allu with the counter takedown but Durnin avoids it easily. Naoise Durnin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Durnin has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Allu. Durnin darts in and clinches Allu up against the cage. Durnin tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Allu's elbow. Allu prevents a body shot from Durnin. Allu lands a left hand.
Allu has Durnin pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Allu pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Durnin tumbling to the mat - Allu dives into Durnin's guard. Allu wants to control from the top but Durnin keeps moving. Allu has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Durnin darts in trying to clinch and Allu counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Durnin tries to clinch but Allu is having none of it. Allu lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Allu feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Allu throws a big elbow that misses. Allu makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Allu prevents Durnin from getting back to his feet. Allu with a nice head shot there. This has been an exciting period of action! Durnin has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Allu. Allu throwing damaging strikes from the back! Durnin could be in trouble here!

Mika Allu dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Allu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Durnin was well out of range. Poor timing from Allu. Allu thows a body kick. Durnin tries to catch it but that hurt him. Durnin tries to clinch but Allu moves away and Allu counters with a nice leg kick. Durnin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Allu scores with a jab to the body. Durnin tries to close the distance and clinch but Allu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Allu will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Durnin tries to clinch up. Durnin is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Allu appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Durnin wants to clinch up but Allu keeps it at a distance. Allu scores with a jab to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Allu manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Durnin on his heels. He'll look to pass Durnin's guard now, I'm sure. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Allu throws an elbow that misses. Durnin uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Allu's guard. Nice move by Durnin!

That's one minute gone in the round. Allu wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Allu wants to sweep here but Durnin controlling him for the moment. Allu is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Allu is looking to take a break and control but Durnin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Allu not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Durnin has hold of Allu's hands but Allu slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Allu has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Mika Allu has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Durnin blocking the ground and pound. Allu is in the full mount, landing strikes. Durnin's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. BOOM! Allu connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Allu unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Durnin wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Allu celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
