Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Alejandro Scott (ranked 2147 p4p, 263 weight class) and Helio Kimura (ranked 11134 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott comes into the arena with Alejandro - Lady Gaga blaring out of the sound system. Alejandro Scott is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 26 wins and 18 losses; Helio Kimura! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Glass and Donald Grub.

Scott is working for takedown but Kimura is calmly controlling the position for now. Kimura stops a takedown attempt from Scott.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Kimura seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Kimura keeping moving, preventing Scott from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Scott controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kimura pulls Scott in to control the position. Scott wants to control from the top but Kimura keeps moving. Scott is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kimura is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kimura has escaped and now he's on top! That's four minutes gone in the round. Scott looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Scott working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kimura doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kimura manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kimura stopping the sweep attempt from Scott. Scott is trying to control the position but Kimura postures up. Kimura avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Scott looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Scott is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kimura doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Scott. Scott is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kimura sees it coming and defends easily.

That's eight minutes gone in the round. Scott wants to take a breather but Kimura is having none of it. Scott is looking to advance position but Kimura won't allow it. Scott trying to control the action but Kimura is working from the bottom. Scott is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's nine minutes gone in the round. Kimura is staying active underneath Scott, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Kimura slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Scott trying to control the position from guard on top but Kimura is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Our spies down at at JAG Battle Gym inform us that Kimura has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Kimura has his hands on Scott's head, controlling the position.
That's ten minutes gone in the round. Scott trying to control but Kimura is working from the bottom. Kimura pulls Scott in close to his closed guard and prevents Scott from doing any damage or advancing position. Kimura tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Kimura keeping full guard, as Scott tries to pass. Scott being controlled here momentarily. Kimura not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Kimura is pulling down on Scott's head to control his posture. Scott stopping the sweep attempt from Kimura. Kimura pulls Scott in close to prevent any damage. Let's hope that Kimura has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Scott tries to free his leg and advance position but Kimura is retaining full guard. Scott drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kimura manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Scott has Kimura in his guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Scott (2) vs (4) Kimura Scott had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kimura defends it easily. Scott is looking for a triangle here but Kimura uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Scott tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kimura controls the position. Scott gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Scott looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Scott is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kimura's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kimura's back! Score +4 for clean sweep to past guard: Scott (6) vs (7) Kimura
