Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Maki Pulu (ranked 464 p4p, 63 weight class) and Dido Vicini (ranked 1799 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Pulu might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Alive. Vicini has chosen Mother as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 7 wins and 3 losses; Maki Pulu! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 16 wins and 10 losses; Dido Vicini!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Vicini shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pulu defends it nicely.
Vicini closes the distance and clinches up with Pulu, looking for a takedown. Vicini pushes Pulu against the cage but Pulu circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Vicini fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pulu avoids it really well and circles away.
Maki Pulu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dido Vicini.
Pulu dives in and grabs Vicini's left leg, looking for a takedown. Vicini pushes down on Pulu's head and hops out.
Vicini shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pulu but Pulu pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Vicini tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pulu swivels and escapes.
Vicini shoots in looking for a takedown. Pulu tries to sprawl out of it but Vicini keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pulu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pulu shoots in for a takedown but Vicini shows good takedown defense.
Pulu fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vicini sprawls well initially but Pulu persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Pulu (2) vs (0) Vicini
Pulu is keen to just control but Vicini is a slippery customer.
Pulu looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Vicini is trying to get back to full guard.
Vicini is pressing down on Pulu's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Pulu controls from within his opponent's guard.
Pulu looking to pass the guard.
Vicini wants to sweep but no luck.

Pulu trying to control the position from guard on top but Vicini is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pulu stays in close to Vicini's body and controls the position.
Pulu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vicini swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Vicini is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Pulu (2) vs (2) Vicini

Vicini is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Pulu sees it coming and defends easily.
Pulu moves into full guard.
Pulu controls Vicini momentarily but Vicini frees himself.
Vicini won't allow Pulu to sweep him here.
Vicini stands and throws Pulu's legs to the side, diving into side control. Score +3 for passing guard: Pulu (2) vs (5) Vicini
Pulu is looking for a sweep.

Vicini has hold of Pulu's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Pulu seems comfortable defending it but Vicini has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Pulu is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Pulu is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Vicini couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Dido Vicini!
