The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bailey will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bailey lands a nice leg kick that just misses Williams's sensitive parts.
Williams shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bailey but Bailey pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bailey misses with an attempted mid kick.
Williams shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bailey as he avoids it easily.
Bailey went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Williams throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bailey tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Williams is in Bailey's guard.

Bailey wants to stand and escape but Williams is having none of it.

Williams is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bailey defends it well.

Williams has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Bailey wants to get back to his feet.

Williams wants to work for an arm triangle but Bailey is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Bailey has one foot on Williams's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Williams forces Bailey back against the cage and clinches.
Bailey lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bailey will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Williams up against the cage.
Williams misses with a hook to the ribs.

Williams tries to land a knee to the head but Bailey blocks with his arms.

A short body shot lands from Bailey as the two fighters clinch.

Bailey breaks the clinch.
Nice body kick there by Bailey.

Bailey throws the kick towards the body but Williams avoids it.
Bailey ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Williams moves away.
Bailey looks to score with a jab to the body but Williams is just out of range.
Williams tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bailey swivels and escapes.
Zammy Bailey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Williams.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Williams.

Williams is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bailey has escaped the position, nice work there.

Bailey throws Williams to one side and escapes!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Williams uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bailey.

Williams shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

and Bailey counters with a crisp one two that drops Williams! Bailey thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Williams to his feet! Williams is in big trouble!

Bailey displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Williams.
Williams is still on wobbly legs! Can Bailey finish him?
Williams has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bailey.
Williams seems to have recovered his senses.
Bailey tries a head kick but it misses.
Williams fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bailey avoids it really well and circles away.
Williams closes the distance looking to clinch
and Bailey counters with a straight right hand.
A solid body kick from Bailey.
Williams takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Bailey counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Zammy Bailey!
