Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rex Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Allan Folks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Snow has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Rex Snow could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Allan Folks's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snow slips a jab and a cross from Folks.
Snow really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Snow pivots, looking for a leg kick but Folks is out of range and Snow settles back down.
Snow throws a head kick but Folks moves out of range.
Folks thows a leg kick but Snow checks it

and Snow decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Folks's guard.
Snow is breathing heavily.
Folks not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Folks pulls Snow in close to his closed guard and prevents Snow from doing any damage or advancing position.
Folks looking to hit a scissor sweep but Snow is one step ahead there.
Folks is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Snow is controlling him.

Folks wants to stand and escape but Snow is having none of it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Folks can do anything to dispel that myth.
Snow will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Folks throws a nice looking combination but Snow bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Folks rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Snow moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Folks throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Folks throws a shot from downtown. Snow moves away and avoids it.
Folks throws a low kick but it's checked well by Snow.
Snow moves out of range of the body kick.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
No joy there for Folks, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Snow steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Folks. That one must have hurt.

Folks tries to bum rush Snow with a series of wild strikes but Snow uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Folks looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Snow shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Folks as he jumps to the side.

Snow wants to clinch up but Folks keeps it at a distance.
Folks throws a low kick, looking for Snow's leg but Snow calmly moves out of range.
Folks lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Snow circles away quickly and effectively.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Snow is looking to advance position but Folks won't allow it.
Folks is looking to control Snow's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Folks avoid being mounted?
Folks is positioning himself well to prevent Snow advancing to mount.

Folks will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Snow up against the cage.
Folks landing knees to the body.
Folks's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Snow has picked Folks up - he's going for a ride! Snow dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Snow is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Folks is just riding it out for now. Snow eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Snow is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Snow uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Folks.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Snow wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Folks, who protects the arm well.
Folks is trying to control Snow's posture but Snow avoids it.
Folks is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Snow is staying active.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
No joy there for Folks, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Snow misses with a head kick.
Snow checks a low kick from Folks.
Snow tries to clinch but Folks is having none of it.
Folks throws a head kick that misses.
Folks scores with a kick to the body.

Folks lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Snow throws a sloppy head kick and Folks moves out of range easily.
Folks looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Snow moves out of range of the body kick from Folks.
Snow changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Folks tries to avoid it but Snow manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Folks to the ground. Folks escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Rex Snow is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Snow.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

and Folks counters with a series of strikes. Snow will be more careful next time no doubt.
Folks will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Allan Folks has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

and Snow counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Folks!
Folks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Snow. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Folks wants to control but Snow is having none of it.

Snow stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Snow looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Left hook, right uppercut from Folks.
Snow blocks the body kick.
Folks lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rex Snow showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Snow, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
