Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dimitri Buriak (ranked 537 p4p, 75 weight class) and Wilky Pierre (ranked 1861 p4p, 229 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dimitri Buriak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wilky Pierre!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierre fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Pierre keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wilky Pierre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Buriak scores with a jab.
Buriak fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pierre manages to avoid it.
Pierre uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Buriak.
Pierre dives in and grabs Buriak's left leg, looking for a takedown. Buriak pushes down on Pierre's head and hops out.

Pierre darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Pierre wants to take a breather but Buriak is having none of it.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Pierre working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Buriak is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Runts Academy that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Buriak cracks a nice hook into Pierre's ribs.
Pierre goes for a double leg but Buriak avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Buriak continues to drive forward.

Buriak's jab looks to have found its range, popping Pierre under the eye.

Pierre darts in and clinches Buriak up against the ropes.

Buriak lands a right hand that snaps the head of Pierre backwards.
Buriak presses Pierre against the ropes and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Pierre is looking for a takedown.
Dimitri Buriak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wilky Pierre.
Pierre has Buriak pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Buriak manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Buriak throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Pierres head.

Pierre wants to take the fight to the mat but Buriak manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Buriak throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Pierre's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Buriak struggles to land a body shot inside as Pierre controls his hands.
Pierre changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Buriak fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Buriak moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Buriak stuns Pierre with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
A punch lands to the side of Pierre 's head but he takes it in his stride.


Pierre is rocked!
Buriak drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Pierre's head, knocking him out cold! Buriak is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dimitri Buriak!
After the fight, Dimitri Buriak was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
