Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cal Robbins (ranked 2854 p4p, 310 weight class) and Vladimir Punchsky (ranked 2948 p4p, 317 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Cal Robbins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vladimir Punchsky!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Robbins shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Punchsky manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Robbins postures up in Punchsky's guard and throws a big left but Punchsky blocks it.
Punchsky wants to stand up but Robbins is controlling him.
Robbins content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Punchsky is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Robbins wants to improve his position but Punchsky is controlling well.
Punchsky is taking a breather. Robbins says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Punchsky wants to stand but Robbins has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Robbins regains full guard. Nicely done.
Punchsky must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Robbins looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Robbins is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Punchsky has his hands clasped together but Robbins extends and breaks Punchsky's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Robbins.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Cal Robbins!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Cal Robbins waved his t-shirt featuring One stop shop's logo in front of the cameras.
