Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chase Fuchs (ranked 2281 p4p, 258 weight class) and Harrison Bergeron (ranked 3115 p4p, 331 weight class). Harrison Bergeron will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Harrison Bergeron! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Chad Campbell and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bergeron tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Fuchs swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Bergeron lands a jab to the head.
Bergeron is looking to clinch. Fuchs throws a big counter combination but Bergeron scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Fuchs wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Fuchs fails to land with a series of punches.
Bergeron connects with a good right hand that stumbles Fuchs. Fuchs circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Fuchs ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bergeron moves away. Harrison Bergeron seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fuchs looks to score with a jab to the body but Bergeron is just out of range. Bergeron tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Fuchs shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fuchs not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Bergeron looking to control.

Fuchs is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Bergeron's shoulder. That is not cool. Bergeron takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Bergeron tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fuchs wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Fuchs wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bergeron keeps working. Bergeron is looking for a sweep. Fuchs scoring with punches and elbows. Fuchs working the ground and pound from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bergeron manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Fuchs trying to control but Bergeron postures up.
Bergeron looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Bergeron is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Fuchs is trying to control the position but Bergeron postures up. Fuchs wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Fuchs is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Bergeron trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Fuchs has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Fuchs looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bergeron is one step ahead there. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bergeron drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Fuchs manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bergeron has Fuchs in his guard.

Bergeron lands with a straight right. Fuchs didn't see that one coming. Fuchs gets a takedown into half guard. Fuchs seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Bergeron is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Bergeron won't allow Fuchs to pass to mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fuchs lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Fuchs controlling the pace. That's one minute gone in the round. Bergeron actively working from the bottom here. Fuchs looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bergeron with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Bergeron actively working from the bottom here. Fuchs is looking to take a break and control but Bergeron is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Fuchs prevents Bergeron from improving his position. Bergeron keeps trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bergeron looking for submissions off his back. Fuchs working over Bergeron with some ground and pound. Bergeron looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Bergeron is in trouble now - Fuchs has advanced to mount! Fuchs looking to control but Bergeron is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Chase Fuchs overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bergeron is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Fuchs pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Fuchs postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bergeron looks a forlorn figure.

Fuchs lands with some strikes. Bergeron bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Fuchs wants to sweep here but Bergeron controlling him for the moment. The fighters roll with the hold and Fuchs manages to kick Bergeron off! Bergeron jumps back into Fuchs's guard. Bergeron wants to pass the guard but Fuchs is keeping the position.

Fuchs trying to control the position from guard on top but Bergeron is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bergeron is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Fuchs frees his head nicely. Oh but Bergeron has switched to an armbar! Fuchs is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
