The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Emerson Jorge and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obrien misses with a double jab.
DaBaea looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
DaBaea keeps the fight on the outside.

DaBaea bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Obrien digs a good body shot into DaBaea's ribs.

Obrien shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. DaBaea eats them both and turns towards Obrien to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

DaBaea slips a jab and a cross from Obrien.

As Obrien backs off DaBaea throws a huge counter combo but Obrien manages to avoid it all.

DaBaea throws a push kick but Obrien slaps the foot to one side.

Obrien really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
DaBaea takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Uresteler DaBaea seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

DaBaea fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Obrien sprawls well initially but DaBaea persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Obrien tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. DaBaea manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Obrien gets through DaBaea's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Obrien is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that DaBaea can do to turn this around?

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

DaBaea shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than DaBaea was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Obrien has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. DaBaea is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Obrien.
