The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Goethals shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Glavonja is trying to defend but Goethals finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Glavonja can do anything to dispel that myth.
Glavonja is looking to improve his position.
Goethals working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Goethals tries to stand but can't do so whilst Glavonja controls his leg.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Glavonja cracks Goethals with a big right hand but Goethals just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Goethals is not content to let Glavonja control the position.

Goethals misses with a jab, cross combination.
Glavonja changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Goethals tries to avoid it but Glavonja manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Goethals to the ground. Goethals escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Goethals is rocked!
Glavonja looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Goethals with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Oh Goethals is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Glavonja takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Goethals takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Glavonja's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
