The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pan shoots in for a takedown but Tony shows good takedown defense. Tony rushes Pan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Tony lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Pan actively working from the bottom here. Pan tries to roll over but Tony keeps him under control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tony wants to take a breather but Pan is having none of it. Pan is looking to control Tony's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pan avoid being mounted? Pan drops back looking for a leg! Tony is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tony manages to kick Pan off! Pan jumps back into Tony's guard. Tony looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pan is one step ahead there.

Tony might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Tony is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Patrick Tony is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Tony taking punishment in the form of punches.
