Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Sixpack (ranked 6479 p4p, 518 weight class) and Jameson Dentler (ranked 3720 p4p, 394 weight class). Jameson Dentler has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Sixpack! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jameson Dentler! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sixpack forces Dentler back against the cage and clinches. Sixpack pressing his opponent against the cage. Dentler misses with some punches.
Dentler has a couple of punches blocked by Sixpack.
Sixpack pushes Dentler back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Sixpack has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. A short right hand to the side of the head by Dentler.
It looks like Joe Sixpack has been cut. Sixpack wants a takedown.
Sixpack jumps guard and drags Dentler to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Sixpack has a closed guard, preventing Dentler from standing up. Sixpack throws his legs up looking for a submission but Dentler uses it to pass to side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sixpack is looking for a sweep. Dentler tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sixpack is trying to control Dentler's posture but Dentler avoids it. Sixpack is trying to get back to half guard. Sixpack tries to strike from the bottom but misses. Sixpack is trying to control Dentler's posture but Dentler avoids it. Dentler decides to stand back up. Sixpack moves into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Sixpack lands a body shot. Sixpack has been working on his balance at Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Dentler. Dentler working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. A short left from Dentler. A body shot lands from Dentler.
Sixpack drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Dentler gets the underhooks and prevents it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Sixpack. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dentler lands a right hand. Sixpack wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. A short left from Dentler. A short right from Dentler on the inside. Sixpack goes for a takedown attempt but Dentler pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Sixpack fails with the takedown and Dentler counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jameson Dentler!
