Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Casper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Halberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jim Halberg will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyson Casper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Halberg! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Casper as Halberg shoots in. Nice sprawl there from Casper as Halberg shoots in. Casper with a poor takedown and Halberg counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Jim Halberg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Halberg throws out a powerful jab. Casper moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Casper tries for a takedown but Halberg sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Halberg stuffs the takedown attempt from Casper. Casper gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyson Casper. That's going to take a lot out of him. Halberg closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Halberg looks gassed! Casper is trying to improve his position. Casper gets back to half guard. Casper is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Halberg pulls his head out easily. Casper looking for submissions off his back.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Halberg gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Casper counters with a nice double leg into guard. Halberg looking to hit a scissor sweep but Casper is one step ahead there. Casper drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Casper jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Casper slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Casper tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Casper wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Halberg, who protects the arm well. You can see the frustration on Halberg's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Casper has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Casper tries for a kimura but Halberg is defending well. Halberg shoots in but Casper avoids the takedown attempt easily. Casper bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Casper has hold of Halberg's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Halberg seems comfortable defending it but Casper has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Halberg is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Halberg is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Casper couldn't care less - he's delighted!
