The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mung shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cortez defends it nicely.

Cortez gets tackled into the cage by Mung. Mung maintains the clinch.

Mung escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mung fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cortez, pushing him back against the cage.
Cortez is trying to pull guard but Mung has him pressed against the cage.
Cortez is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Mung to keep the fight standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mung has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Cortez uses from the top position.

Mung working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cortez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Mung is tightening it up a little... Cortez has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Cortez reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Cortez taps out! Nice BJJ there by Mung!
