The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Souza tries for a takedown but Arundel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Rogerio De Souza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
De Souza shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
De Souza lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Arundel lands a body shot.
De Souza swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Arundel.
Arundel digs a good hook to De Souza's body.
Arundel throws a shot to the body.
De Souza shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Arundel as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rogerio De Souza. That's going to take a lot out of him.
De Souza lands a nice shot that snaps Arundel's head back.
Arundel digs a good body shot into De Souza's ribs.
De Souza looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

and Arundel counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Arundel pivots, looking for a leg kick but De Souza is out of range and Arundel settles back down.
De Souza rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Arundel counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Rogerio De Souza has been cut.

Arundel pulls out of a head kick attempt.
De Souza scores with a jab.
De Souza shoots in looking for a takedown but Arundel manages to keep the fight standing, pushing De Souza's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Arundel was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Arundel lands a high kick!
A solid body kick from Arundel.
De Souza throws a sloppy body shot
and Arundel counters with a crisp right hand that drops De Souza! Arundel lets De Souza back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
De Souza is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Arundel on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Oh De Souza is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Arundel closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks De Souza out cold! De Souza corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
