Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eddie Choy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dom Selleck! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Selleck misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Danga de danga de dang - Selleck scores with a four punch combination! Selleck throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Selleck rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Choy moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Choy has a takedown stuffed. Selleck keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Choy shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Selleck but Selleck pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eddie Choy. enabling Selleck to counter with a crisp jab. Selleck throws a series of punches but Choy avoids them all with ease. Selleck throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Choy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Selleck.
Selleck moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Selleck misses with a straight left. Selleck misses with a double jab
so Choy counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Choy is fighting to break Selleck's control of his arms but Selleck is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Choy drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Choy jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Choy postures up.

No, Selleck has escaped the position, nice work there. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Selleck can do anything to dispel that myth. Choy is trying to get an arm triangle but Selleck is defending well. Selleck wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Selleck is looking to regain half guard here but Choy keeps moving and retains side control. Choy is trying to get an arm triangle but Selleck is defending well. Selleck tries to escape but Choy is in control. Selleck is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Selleck gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Choy has hold of Selleck's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Selleck manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Choy is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Selleck can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Choy jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Selleck manages to avoid the submission attempt. Selleck pushes Choy away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Choy gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Choy working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Choy tries for a kimura but Selleck is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Choy tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Choy has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Selleck wants to get back to his feet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Selleck lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Choy backs up against the ropes.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Selleck drops Choy with a nice combination! Selleck dives into Choy's guard, looking to finish!
Choy is rocked!
It looks like Eddie Choy has been cut. Selleck trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Selleck trying to control but Choy is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dom Selleck dominated that round. The cut man is working on Eddie Choy's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Oh Choy is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Choy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Selleck doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Selleck manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Selleck is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Choy seems to have got his legs back now. Selleck stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Choy swivels though and keeps the full guard. Selleck avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Choy is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Selleck would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Selleck showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Choy is looking for a triangle but Selleck pushes his legs off easily.

Selleck would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Choy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Selleck can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Choy being controlled here, momentarily.

Selleck wants to stand but Choy has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Choy wants to sweep but no luck. Selleck controlling from the top position. Selleck trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Selleck has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Choy is proving hard to escape from.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Selleck tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Choy was well out of range. Poor timing from Selleck. Selleck misses with a few strikes there.

He's pushed Choy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Selleck misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Selleck ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Choy moves away. Nice jab there from Selleck. Selleck lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Choy circles away quickly and effectively. Selleck will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Dom Selleck showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Eddie Choy's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Choy shoots in for a takedown but Selleck shows good takedown defense. Dom Selleck seems to be getting the better of the standup. Nice straight punches there by Selleck. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Selleck really wants to buck Choy off and get back to his feet. Selleck is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Choy looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Choy prevents Selleck from getting the reversal. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Choy looking for a guillotine from mount but Selleck is having none of it. Selleck wants to get back to his feet.

Choy working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Selleck turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Choy off and cradles Selleck's limp body as Choy celebrates with his corner.
