Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Cocaine (ranked 1650 p4p, 216 weight class) and Alejandro Scott (ranked 2160 p4p, 269 weight class). Cocaine comes to the cage accompanied by Nothing To Lose. Scott has chosen Alejandro - Lady Gaga as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Cocaine! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alejandro Scott! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jorge Garcia and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scott uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cocaine. Scott's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Cocaine connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Scott scrambles back to his feet. An inside leg kick lands from Cocaine. Cocaine misses with a few strikes there.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Scott. Scott is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Scott tests Cocaine's chin there with a solid looking shot. Cocaine avoids a kick to the body.
Scott has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Scott throws an overhand right that lands on Cocaine's shoulder, as Cocaine tries to avoid the shot. Jab, jab by Cocaine - just one landing. Cocaine swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cocaine swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Scott thuds a left hand into Cocaine's body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cocaine throws a nice inside leg kick. Cocaine misses with a looping left. Scott moves out of range of the strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scott will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Cocaine throwing a counter right hand but Scott manages to avoid it. Scott waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Cocaine. Scott swings widly with a right hand
and Cocaine counters with a right hand to the body. Scott is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cocaine. A looping hook to the body misses from Cocaine. Scott does a little dance to reset his feet. Scott shoots in for a takedown but Cocaine shows good takedown defense. Johnny Cocaine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alejandro Scott. Scott fails with a takedown attempt. Cocaine throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Scott stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Scott waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Cocaine. Scott throws the left hand but Cocaine avoids the punch easily. Cocaine lands a head kick!
Cocaine clobbers Scott with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Cocaine feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Scotts jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Scott looks to land a right hand but Cocaine moved out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cocaine throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Scott throws a right and a left that both miss. Scott on the wrong end of a nice jab. Scott misses with the combination.
Cocaine throws a hook but Scott avoids it easily. Cocaine takes a swing at Scott's ribcage but misses. Scott changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Johnny Cocaine is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Good standup being displayed there by Cocaine as he connects with a hook. Scott has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Scott there as he acknowledges the shot. Cocaine pushes Scott away with a front kick. A head kick misses from Cocaine. Cocaine takes one on the button. Cocaine steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Scott. Cocaine scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Scott closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Cocaine trying to control from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cocaine is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Scott is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cocaine is just riding it out for now. Scott eventually gives up the hold. Cocaine is doing well to control the position and prevent Scott from advancing to side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Scott is working for a submission of some sort.
Scott is working for a kimura but Cocaine is defending it quite comfortably.
Cocaine is trying to maintain the position but Scott is very close to passing his half guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Cocaine dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Cocaine with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Cocaine is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Scott can do to turn this around? Scott on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Cocaine lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. A shot to the liver by Cocaine. Beautiful body shot. Cocaine pushes Scott up against the cage in a clinch. Cocaine doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Cocaine misses with a punch on the inside.
Cocaine tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Scott blocks an uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cocaine goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
A nice right hand lands inside from Cocaine. Cocaine breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Scott jabs at Cocaine's body. A low kick from Cocaine misses and Scott connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Horrible takedown attempt by Scott or perhaps it was just good defense by Cocaine, which made it look bad. Scott misses with a head kick.
Cocaine lands a nice leg kick that just misses Scott's sensitive parts. Cocaine avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Cocaine.
Cocaine lands a leg kick that knocks Scott off balance momentarily. Scott dives in and scores a takedown into Cocaine's guard. Scott is standing up over Cocaine. Cocaine looks to escape but Scott dives into side control.
Cocaine can't do much from the bottom here. Cocaine is trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scott is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cocaine knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Cocaine is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Scott is one step ahead and moves to full mount! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cocaine wants to hold on but Scott pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scott controlling the position easily from mount. Scott trying to control but Cocaine is having none of it. Scott looking for a guillotine from mount but Cocaine is having none of it. Scott throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Scott thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Cocaine is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Cocaine is trying to escape the mount.
Scott jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Cocaine manages to avoid the submission attempt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cocaine is trying to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Johnny Cocaine will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Scott tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cocaine defends well and Scott ends up having to push Cocaine into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. A counter left hand to the body from Cocaine misses its target. Scott shoots in for a double leg but Cocaine sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Cocaine misses with a leg kick and Scott counters with a lovely straight right hand! Scott on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Cocaine. Cocaine obviously looking to wear him down.
Cocaine tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Scott shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Scott showed some decent athleticism there. Scott is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Cocaine has managed to free his arm - good work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cocaine keeping control of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cocaine regains full guard. Nicely done. Cocaine not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Cocaine is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Scott is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Cocaine managing to control the position. Scott trying to control the position from guard on top but Cocaine is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Cocaine throws out a powerful jab. Scott shoots in for a takedown but Cocaine shows good takedown defense. Johnny Cocaine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alejandro Scott. Cocaine connects with a jab. Scott takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Cocaine throws the left hand but Scott avoids the punch easily. Cocaine throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Scott closes the distance and clinches up with Cocaine, looking for a takedown. Scott pushes Cocaine against the cage but Cocaine circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Scott takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Alejandro Scott has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cocaine fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Scott has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Cocaine swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scott checks a low kick from Cocaine. Scott avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Scott tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cocaine defends well and Scott ends up having to push Cocaine into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Cocaine misses the shot to the body. Cocaine turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Nice uppercut lands for Scott. That snapped Cocaine's head back.
Scott fails with the takedown and Cocaine counters with a left to the body. Cocaine throws a wild body kick that Scott sees coming a mile off. Scott with the counter takedown but Cocaine avoids it easily. Cocaine pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Cocaine connects with a crisp jab. Cocaine scores with a leg kick.
Cocaine lands with a straight right. Scott didn't see that one coming. Cocaine lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Scott stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Cocaine. Scott's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cocaine scores with a nice head shot. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cocaine jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Scott with a poor takedown and Cocaine connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Cocaine swings for the body but Scott moves out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Scott! But no joy. Scott goes for a double leg but Cocaine avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Cocaine continues to drive forward. Scott takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Scott shoots in but Cocaine avoids the takedown attempt easily. Cocaine throwing a counter right hand but Scott manages to avoid it. Cocaine is looking to slow Scott down with leg kicks. Johnny Cocaine is winning the standup battle so far. Scott shoots for a double leg takedown but Cocaine sprawls well. He's pushed Scott's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Scott chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Cocaine can pounce on him.
Scott on the wrong end of a nice jab. The fighters circling - Cocaine throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Cocaine connects with a right hand. Scott shakes it off. Johnny Cocaine is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Scott takes a jab right on the kisser.
And that's the end of the fight! Johnny Cocaine showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cocaine, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
