Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Kant (ranked 3851 p4p, 407 weight class) and Lukasz Patryk (ranked 3892 p4p, 411 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Michael Kant! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 23 - 0, fighting out of London, Lukasz Patryk! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Phil Schofield and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Patryk shoots in for a double leg but Kant sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kant throws a poor cross that misses
and Patryk counters with a shoot takedown. Kant fights it but they end up in guard. Kant preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Patryk distracts Kant with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Patryk with a flurry of punches that miss. Patryk drops back looking for a leg! Kant is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kant manages to kick Patryk off! Patryk jumps back into Kant's guard. Kant is pulling down on Patryk's head to control his posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kant working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Patryk. Patryk is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Kant knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Patryk on the ground. Patryk stands up over Kant, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Patryk throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kant works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Patryk passes Kant's left leg - he's now in half guard. Kant blocking the ground and pound attempt from Patryk. Kant keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Well, if Patryk is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Kant is breathing heavily. Kant is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Patryk scores with a couple of nice shots. Patryk wants to take a breather but Kant is having none of it. Patryk performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Patryk slips a nice elbow through Kant's hands, connecting with Kant's forehead. Patryk seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Patryk is trying to work for a kimura but Kant is defending well.
Patryk missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Patryk stands up and beckons Kant to join him on the feet. Patryk shoots in but Kant avoids the takedown attempt easily. An attempted straight right counter from Kant misses the target. Patryk moves into the clinch successfully.
Patryk pulls guard successfully.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Patryk is on top in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Patryk throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kant works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

It's a sloppy attempt though and Patryk jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Patryk is stalling in the full guard. Patryk landing some decent shots from guard. Patryk advances position into side control! Kant on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kant tries to get out of the position. Kant being controlled for a moment. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kant parries the strikes from Patryk easily there. Patryk is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kant to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Patryk is chipping away with strikes.
Patryk in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Kant is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Lukasz Patryk! After the fight, Lukasz Patryk was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
