Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Art Vandelay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Patterson!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vandelay moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Vandelay scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Vandelay scores with a nice body kick.
Patterson tries to clinch but Vandelay moves away
and Vandelay counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

A head kick lands from Vandelay that sends Patterson to the canvas. Patterson tries to scramble back to his feet but Vandelay brings him back down into side control.


Patterson is rocked!


It looks like Jack Patterson has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vandelay working the head and body with strikes.
Patterson is still in real trouble! Can Vandelay finish him?
Vandelay gets to mount! Patterson was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Vandelay controlling the pace for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Patterson seems to have recovered his senses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Patterson working to try and regain half guard.

Vandelay takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Patterson can't escape the position.
Vandelay sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Patterson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Vandelay looking to control and managing it successfully.
Vandelay landing strikes from the mount.
Vandelay tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Patterson is looking to improve his position but Vandelay isn't that keen on the idea.
Vandelay takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Vandelay's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Further stalling from Vandelay.
Vandelay prevents Patterson from getting the reversal.
Vandelay controlling the position easily from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Art Vandelay dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Jack Patterson's cut.
That's time! Vandelay's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Patterson fails to land the takedown.
Patterson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Vandelay was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Patterson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Art Vandelay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Patterson.
A shot to the liver by Vandelay. Beautiful body shot.
Patterson is breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Patterson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Nice body punch from Vandelay.
Patterson takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Vandelay turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Vandelay ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Vandelay scores with a kick to the body.
Vandelay lands a right hook to the body.
Art Vandelay is winning the standup battle so far.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Patterson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Vandelay - the referee stops the clock and Patterson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Vandelay. Patterson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Vandelay scoring well with a low kick there.
Vandelay and Patterson are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Vandelay throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Patterson into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Vandelay knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Art Vandelay!
An out of breath Art Vandelay thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
