Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lao Shin (ranked 37 p4p, 4 weight class) and Joy Rones (ranked 95 p4p, 13 weight class). Shin comes to the cage accompanied by Shaolin Chamber of Death. Joy Rones has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Lao Shin's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
50 - 19 - 2, fighting out of London, Lao Shin! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 4 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joy Rones! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shin takes a shot right to the bread basket. A looping hook to the body misses from Rones. Shin does a little dance to reset his feet. Shin gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Shin with a body punch. A glancing blow. Shin sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Shin moves out of range of the body kick. Shin avoids a kick to the body.
Shin ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. An attempted straight right counter from Shin misses the target. Rones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Shin.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rones punishes Shin's body with a nice straight punch. Rones throws a poor cross that misses
and Shin counters with a good low kick that Rones was not able to check.

Rones wants to clinch up but Shin keeps it at a distance. Joy Rones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A punch lands to the side of Shin 's head but he takes it in his stride. Rones scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Shin misses with the combination.

That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shin connects with a leg kick. Rones looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Shin takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Shin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Rones lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Rones throws an off balance right hand
and Shin counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Shin misses with an uppercut. Shin missing with a left hand there. Rones's coach down at Men Only. No Liberals ! was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Rones's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Shin moves out of range of the strikes. Shin throws a quick counter kick to the body but Rones avoids it. Shin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rones manages to avoid it.

Shin complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Joy Rones decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
