Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sunray Spike (ranked 19 p4p, 3 weight class) and Jason Steele (ranked 93 p4p, 5 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Spike might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to For Heavy Metal we will die!. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 10 - 1, fighting out of London, Jason Steele!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Chris Edwards and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Steele misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Spike.
Spike scores with a head kick. Steele tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

It looks like Jason Steele has been cut.
Steele throws a series of punches but Spike avoids them all with ease.
Spike was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Spike gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Steele dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Spike steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Steele.

A looping hook to the body misses from Steele. Spike does a little dance to reset his feet.
Spike swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Steele swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Spike counters with a good, hard body kick but Steele shrugs it off.
Steele with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Spike to score with a decent uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Steele clinches.

I was talking to Spike's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Steele swings wildly with an uppercut but Spike uses good head movement to avoid it.

Spike manages to break the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Steele tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Spike was well out of range. Poor timing from Steele.
Nice straight punches there by Steele. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Steele.
A jab from Steele misses.
Steele throws a hook to the side of Spike's head but Spike sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Steele blocks a jab.
Steele takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Steele wants to clinch

and Spike counters with a nice right hand that sends Steele toppling to the canvas! Steele scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Spike finish him?!
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Spike counters with a big left hand that crumples Steele! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!

After the fight, Sunray Spike was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
