Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Tevin Felix (ranked 1738 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Dean Rockefeller (ranked 1283 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 0 losses; Tevin Felix! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 0 losses; James Dean Rockefeller! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and Phil Schofield.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Rockefeller shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Felix but Felix pushes him off and we're back to square one. Felix looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Rockefeller gets tackled into the cage by Felix. Felix maintains the clinch. Felix drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Rockefeller gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Rockefeller is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Felix pulls him back up using the underhooks. Rockefeller has Felix pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Felix manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Tevin Felix has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Dean Rockefeller. Rockefeller tries for a takedown. No joy.
Felix tries for a takedown but Rockefeller manages to get underhooks.
Felix tightens his grip and picks Rockefeller up, before dumping him to the ground. Rockefeller manages to land in guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Felix (2) vs (0) Rockefeller Felix looking to improve position, pressing down on Rockefeller's thigh with his hand. Rockefeller seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Felix paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Felix's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Rockefeller picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
