Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Duggan (ranked 2734 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Shinnie (ranked 2893 p4p, 0 weight class). Duggan comes to the cage accompanied by Five Finger Death Punch- Bad Company . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Duggan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin Shinnie!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duggan lands with a straight right. Shinnie didn't see that one coming.
Shinnie bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.


It looks like Jim Duggan has been cut.
Shinnie feints a jab promting Duggan to slip. Shinnie then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Duggan slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Shinnie sizes up Duggan with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Shinnie throws a poor cross that misses
and Duggan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A head kick misses from Shinnie.
Shinnie looks to land a left hand but Duggan moved out of range nicely.
Shinnie does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Duggan closes the distance and pushes Shinnie back into the cage.
Still in the clinch, Duggan scores with a nice short uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shinnie is trying to push Duggan away but Duggan has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Duggan's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Duggan scores with a shoulder strike.
Shinnie tries to break the clinch but Duggan is controlling the position.
Duggan prevents Shinnie from breaking the clinch.
Shinnie has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Duggan has Shinnie pressed against the cage, preventing Shinnie from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Shinnie blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Shinnie blocks an uppercut.
Shinnie wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Duggan misses with a punch on the inside.

Duggan swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Duggan is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shinnie scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Duggan defending well as Shinnie loads up on a big left hand.
Shinnie throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Duggan counters with a monster head kick that knocks Shinnie out cold! He topples like fallen a tree, crashing to the mat! Timbeeeeeerrr!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jim Duggan!
