Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Kooch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Kian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kian has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Danny Kian acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Kooch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny Kian! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kooch throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kian's waist but Kian gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kooch off to one side. Kian tries to clinch there but Kooch circles away.
Kooch scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Kooch is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Kian has managed to free his arm - good work. Kooch seems to be looking for submissions.
Kooch is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kian defends it well. Kian wants to improve his position but Kooch is controlling well.

That's one minute gone in the round. It looks like Kooch is going to stand back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kooch has a takedown stuffed. Kooch shoots in but Kian avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Kooch. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kian tries to clinch there but Kooch circles away.
Kian with a lazy takedown attempt and Kooch counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kian's guard now. Kooch drops back looking for a leg! Kian is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kian manages to kick Kooch off! Kooch jumps back into Kian's guard. Kooch drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kooch jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kooch trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kooch wants to get up but he can't break Kian's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Kooch trying to control but Kian is working from the bottom. Kooch looking to pass the guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Nice takedown defense from Kian. No joy for Kooch on that attempt. Kooch looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kooch wants to free his trapped foot but Kian is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kooch passes to side control. Kooch in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Kian is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
