Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mario Diaz (ranked 2996 p4p, 356 weight class) and Con Musicman (ranked 2380 p4p, 294 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mario Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Con Musicman!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Musicman with a poor takedown
and Diaz counters with a stiff right hand.
Musicman shoots and misses
and Diaz counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Con Musicman has been cut.
Musicman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Diaz as he jumps to the side.
Mario Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Con Musicman.
Musicman has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Diaz goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Musicman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Diaz pinned against the cage. Diaz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Diaz shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Musicman eats them both and turns towards Diaz to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Diaz connects with a combination that backs up Musicman into the cage. Diaz lands a flurry of punches that gets past Musicman's guard. Musicman is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Diaz bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mario Diaz!
A very excited looking Mario Diaz made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
