The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khaganov fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Khaganov walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Igor tries to work over Khaganov's front leg with a kick but Khaganov checks it.
Khaganov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Khaganov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Khaganov lands in his opponent's guard.

Igor looking for a guillotine here but Khaganov defends easily.

Igor looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Igor is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
