Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Juan Marfaker (ranked 1939 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor Frank (ranked 4426 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 0 losses; Juan Marfaker! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 0 losses; Connor Frank! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Marfaker is defended easily by Frank. Frank manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Frank wants to control the position but Marfaker says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Frank controlling the position well. Frank is trying to control but Marfaker passes into side control!

Marfaker trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Frank has good solid back control here. It looks like Frank might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Marfaker is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's eight minutes gone in the round. Marfaker sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Frank's guard. Frank is looking to get back to full guard here but Marfaker has managed to pass to side control instead. Score +3 for passing guard: Marfaker (13) vs (8) Frank Marfaker working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Frank is looking for a sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Frank is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Frank is trying to get back to full guard. Frank moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Marfaker stopping the sweep attempt from Frank. Frank is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's ten minutes gone in the round. Frank keeps trying to improve his position. Marfaker trying to control the position from guard on top but Frank is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Marfaker advances to half guard. Marfaker trying to control from Frank's half guard. Frank has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Frank is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Frank is controlling Marfaker's posture.

Marfaker tries to free his leg and advance position but Frank is retaining full guard. Frank lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Frank wants to sweep but no luck. Marfaker tries to free his leg and advance position but Frank is retaining full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Frank has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Marfaker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Frank controls Marfaker momentarily but Marfaker frees himself.
And that's the end of the fight! Marfaker takes the fight on points by 18 to 10. Juan Marfaker is the new heavyweight champion! Juan Marfaker very nearly forgot to thank FORCEE amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name.
