Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Axelrod (ranked 5724 p4p, 521 weight class) and Reinaldo Araujo (ranked 3979 p4p, 424 weight class). Reinaldo Araujo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 20 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reinaldo Araujo!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Araujo tries to clinch up but Axelrod circles away and keeps his distance.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
No luck for Axelrod with that takedown attempt.
Axelrod moves out of range as Araujo throws a body kick.
It looked like Axelrod was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Axelrod closes the distance and clinches up with Araujo, looking for a takedown. Axelrod pushes Araujo against the cage but Araujo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That was a close round but I would say that Bobby Axelrod will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

As Araujo tries to get set, Axelrod tries to push him back and clinch up but Araujo manages to avoid the attempt.

Axelrod lands a big head kick that sends Araujo tumbling to the mat! Axelrod takes a step backwards and waves Araujo back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Araujo lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Axelrod has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Axelrod and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Axelrod has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Axelrod is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Araujo is defending well though. Axelrod let's go of the attempt for now.
Axelrod has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Araujo has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Bobby Axelrod decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
