Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Terence West (ranked 24312 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Hampton (ranked 4806 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Terence West! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dexter Hampton! The judges for this bout are James Glass, William Gold and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hampton drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. West looking to sweep here. No luck so far. West trying to strike off his back.
West lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Hampton working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because West has passed into half guard!
West has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. West is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. West is looking for a kimura but Hampton is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for West to get the leverage. Hampton tries to roll over but West keeps him under control. Hampton wants to get back to his feet.

West is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Hampton is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute West jumps into side control! West tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no West has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's two minutes gone in the round. West looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. West gets to mount! Hampton was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. West is in the full mount, landing strikes. Hampton wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. West tightening his grip on Hampton, looking for the choke.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. West lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Hampton wants to get back to his feet. Hampton manages to escape to his feet. Hampton pushes West up against the cage in a clinch. Hampton is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hampton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hampton looks winded! Hampton drives through with a takedown into West's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. West has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Hampton off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The fight moves into the clinch position. A frustrated look appears on Hampton's face as he tries to break the clinch. West jumps guard.
West is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Hampton gets to his feet. West looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Terence West dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
West closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hampton circles away. West changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hampton looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Hampton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with West. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hampton tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but West presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Hampton tries to control the position but West now has his back.
Hampton is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Hampton trying to control the hands but West breaks the grip. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. West biding his time, looking for the opening.
West is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. West gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. West gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. West apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Hampton closes the distance and pushes West back into the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hampton can't break the clinch.
Hampton is breathing heavily. West successfully pulls guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as West holds on and takes a little breather. West will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. West throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hampton wants to stand but West is controlling his posture from full guard. West pulls Hampton in close to prevent any damage. Hampton preventing the sweep. West lands with a heel strike from the guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Hampton closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hampton lands in his opponent's guard. West uses the cage to get back to his feet.
West closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Hampton wants to stand back up but West manages to pass into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. West working the ground and pound from side control. West has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Hampton is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. West yanks on the arm and Hampton is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by West.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Terence West!
