Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between French Fried (ranked 2269 p4p, 213 weight class) and Manny Perez (ranked 2871 p4p, 251 weight class). Manny Perez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, French Fried! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Manny Perez! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perez cracks Fried with an open hand slap. Manny Perez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Perez throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Fried stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Perez scores with a sloppy right hand. Fried should have avoided that one. No joy there for Perez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Fried went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Perez avoids the head kick by Fried.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Perez! But no joy. Fried with a nice cross. Fried defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Perez. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fried looks to land a right hand but Perez moved out of range. Fried uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Perez. Perez lands with a straight right. Fried didn't see that one coming. Perez looking to score a takedown here. Fried is defending well but Perez drives through and ends up in Fried's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perez wants to control from the top but Fried keeps moving. Perez missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Perez is stalling in the full guard. Perez postures up in Fried's guard and throws a big left but Fried blocks it. Perez pushing down on Fried's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Perez connects with a nice short shot to Fried's temple. Fried won't allow Perez to pass to mount. Perez not landing any meaningful shots this time. Fried on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fried tries to get out of the position. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Perez has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Fried is rocked! Perez has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Fried's face.
Oh Fried is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Perez postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Fried badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Perez around the waist but Perez pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Perez is the winner by TKO! Perez jumps onto the ropes and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Manny Perez! A relieved looking Manny Perez thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
