Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Knight (ranked 2641 p4p, 314 weight class) and Lenny Kowalski (ranked 4045 p4p, 433 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jason Knight! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lenny Kowalski! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jorge Garcia and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knight cracks Kowalski with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Knight misses with a hook. Kowalski ducked under it nicely. A head kick by Kowalski misses and Knight counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Kowalski comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Kowalski is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Knight fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Knight lands a jab to the head.
Kowalski tries to close the distance and clinch but Knight swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kowalski blocks a leg kick. Some bone on bone action there as Knight checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Knight looks to land a right hand but Kowalski moved out of range. Kowalski looks like he wants to counter punch here. That's one minute gone in the round. A big left from Knight misses. Knight misses with the combination.
Knight ducks right into an uppercut from Kowalski. Knight closes the distance and lands a one-two. Knight takes a swing at Kowalski's ribcage but misses. Kowalski tries to clinch up and Kowalski takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Knight misses with a left hand and Kowalski counters with a nice leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Knight misses with a double jab
and Kowalski decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Knight's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kowalski controlling from the top position. Knight keeping full guard, as Kowalski tries to pass. Kowalski thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Knight wants to get back to his feet but Kowalski passes into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kowalski in particular looking to stall. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kowalski seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Knight is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
