The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carandang on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Pernell Eubanks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Carandang closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Carandang lands in his opponent's guard.

Carandang drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Carandang jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Carandang is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Eubanks can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Eubanks has left one of his arms exposed and Carandang doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Eubanks screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
