Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Glass Joe (ranked 2098 p4p, 250 weight class) and Wooden Pencil (ranked 1919 p4p, 240 weight class). Pencil has chosen Full Retard as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Glass Joe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
49 - 29 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wooden Pencil! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Steve Montenegro and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A lazy body kick from Joe and Pencil counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Joe drives through with a takedown into Pencil's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Pencil is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Joe dives into side control.
Pencil is not content to let Joe control the position. Pencil wants to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Joe trying to control the position but Pencil is working away. Pencil pushes Joe away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Joe gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Joe stands up and beckons Pencil to his feet. Pencil loads up on a big right hand but Joe slips the punch. Joe scores with a jab. Pencil scores with a spinning back kick! Joe shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Pencil pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Pencil misses the shot to the body. Joe will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Joe. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Glass Joe. That's going to take a lot out of him. Joe misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Pencil gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Joe to score an easy takedown into full guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pencil can do anything to dispel that myth. Pencil keeping moving, preventing Joe from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Joe is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Pencil is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Joe throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pencil works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Joe trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Joe wants to control from the top but Pencil keeps moving. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Joe won't allow Pencil to get back to his feet.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Pencil tries to keep at a distance but Joe has taken the fight into the clinch. Joe lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Joe breaks from the clinch.
Pencil tries to sprawl but Joe drives through with a takedown into half guard. Pencil tries to kick Joe off but Joe keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Joe seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pencil does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Joe not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Joe seems to be looking for submissions.
Joe wants to work for an arm triangle but Pencil is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Joe is working for a submission of some sort.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Glass Joe dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Joe fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pencil has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Pencil drops Joe with a beautiful combination! Joe stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Pencil is looking for the KO!
Joe is rocked!
It looks like Glass Joe has been cut. Pencil fakes the body blow, causing Joe to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Joe goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
