Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kendall Albright!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by Savage.
Gonzalo Savage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Albright really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Savage. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Savage takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Savage seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Albright for as long as he can get away with.

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Savage lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Albright is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Savage gets his way!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Savage tightens his grip and picks Albright up, before dumping him to the ground. Albright manages to land in guard.
Savage makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Savage seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Savage drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Savage jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Savage got a little sloppy there for a moment and Albright has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Savage has managed to get both his arms back between Albright's legs - danger averted.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

That was a close second round but I would say that Gonzalo Savage will probably get the nod.

Savage keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Albright's head.
Savage is working Albright over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Savage seems to be working for a kimura but Albright defends the submission attempt.
Albright pushes Savage off looking to stand but Savage dives back in and keeps control.

Savage has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Albright has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Savage is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Albright can do to turn this around?

Savage is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Albright has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Savage, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
