The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thompson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Thompson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Quin stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Thompson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Thompson landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Quin gets full guard.
Thompson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Quin works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Quin is pulling down on Thompson 's head. It's preventing any offense from Thompson , at least for the moment.
Quin looking for a sweep. Not yet Quin, not yet.
Quin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Thompson 's guard.
Quin postures up and lands a big shot to Thompson 's brow.
Thompson looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Quin passes into half guard.
Quin passes to side control.

Quin controls the position.
Quin in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Quin passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Thompson !

Quin avoids the attempt from Thompson to control.
Thompson tries to reverse the position but Quin maintains control.
Quin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Quin pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Thompson tries to hold on but Quin pushes him away.
Quin lands a big shot to the head and Thompson winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
