Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tenshin Nasukawa (ranked 5169 p4p, 469 weight class) and Monty Fiske (ranked 7013 p4p, 560 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tenshin Nasukawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Monty Fiske!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Columbo Gatti and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fiske throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nasukawa.

Fiske moves into the clinch.

Fiske is trying to trip Nasukawa. He has hold of a leg but Nasukawa is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Fiske persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Nasukawa looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Nasukawa knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fiske on the ground.
Fiske controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Fiske gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Fiske apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Oh Nasukawa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nasukawa has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Five Round Fight Club NY (50 max) in the buildup to the fight.

Nasukawa was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Nasukawa bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Fiske throws a right and a left that Nasukawa avoids nicely.

And Nasukawa counters with a quick kick to the body but Fiske blocks it.

Fiske fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Nasukawa, pushing him back against the cage.
Nasukawa seems to have got his legs back now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fiske jumps guard and drags Nasukawa to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Fiske lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

What can Nasukawa do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fiske bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nasukawa's guard.

Fiske not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Let's hope that Fiske has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Fiske lands a nice short elbow.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Fiske postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Nasukawa in real trouble here! The ref calls for Nasukawa to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
