The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giant keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from OConnell.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from OConnell, right into the meat.
OConnell looks to land a left hand but Giant moved out of range nicely.
Giant throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
OConnell throws a body shot but no joy.
Good standup being displayed there by Giant as he connects with a hook.
Giant lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
It looks like Paul OConnell has been cut.
OConnell ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
OConnell looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Giant lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Giant is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
OConnell throws a sloppy head kick and Giant moves out of range easily.
Giant tries to land a front kick but OConnell steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
A slapping leg kick lands for Giant.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
OConnell walks into a stiff left hand from Giant.
Giant throws a leg kick but OConnell checks it.
Giant pivots, looking for a leg kick but OConnell is out of range and Giant settles back down.
OConnell throws a nice looking combination but Giant bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
OConnell moves out of range as Giant strikes.
Giant walks forward and throws a big overhand right! OConnell drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Giant swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from OConnell's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yhorm Giant!
In his post fight interview, Yhorm Giant started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
