Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Khalabib Nurmy (ranked 2520 p4p, 294 weight class) and Marius Wieneke (ranked 2561 p4p, 298 weight class). Wieneke has chosen Satyricon - K.I.N.G as his entrance music. Marius Wieneke will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Nurmy.
Wieneke throws a shot to the body.
Nurmy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nurmy takes one to the side of the head.
Wieneke stuffs the takedown attempt from Nurmy. Nurmy gets slowly back to his feet.
Khalabib Nurmy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wieneke tries to land a front kick but Nurmy steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

and Wieneke counters with a crisp one two that drops Nurmy! Wieneke thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Nurmy to his feet! Nurmy is in big trouble!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Wieneke closes the distance and pushes Nurmy back into the cage.
Nurmy lands a body punch.

Nurmy wants the takedown. Wieneke is fighting it off but Nurmy persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Wieneke's guard against the cage.

Wieneke had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nurmy defends it easily.

Nurmy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wieneke has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nurmy has managed to get both his arms back between Wieneke's legs - danger averted.
Wieneke is still in real trouble! Can Nurmy finish him?
Nurmy postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Nurmy gets to his feet and stands over Wieneke, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Wieneke felt that one! Nurmy unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Wieneke from any more punishment!
