Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juan De Souza (ranked 6047 p4p, 540 weight class) and Yeke Khan (ranked 5750 p4p, 526 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Khan's choice of entrance music: America The Beautiful. Yeke Khan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Juan De Souza! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yeke Khan! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Khan is trying to work for a kimura but De Souza is defending well.
Khan not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Khan working over De Souza with some ground and pound. De Souza looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Khan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
De Souza is trying to maintain the position but Khan is very close to passing his half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Khan controlling the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Khan not landing any meaningful shots this time. Khan not doing much here.
Khan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Khan is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, De Souza has managed to free his arm - good work. De Souza is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Khan seems to be working for a kimura but De Souza defends the submission attempt. De Souza is trying to maintain the position but Khan is very close to passing his half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Khan connects with a nice short shot to De Souza's temple. Khan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. De Souza tries to get to full guard but Khan has control of the leg. Khan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Khan prevents De Souza from standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Khan seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. De Souza is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Yeke Khan! Post fight, an emotional Yeke Khan said 'WHO'S NEXT?? I STILL GOT STUFF TO WORK ON, BUT YOU CAN'T TEACH HEART'.
