Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Harper (ranked 1177 p4p, 169 weight class) and Joe Derrick (ranked 1335 p4p, 186 weight class). Joe Derrick will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Robert Harper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joe Derrick! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harper throws a hook but Derrick avoids it easily. Harper shoots and misses and Derrick counters with a left to the body. Harper throws an overhand right that lands on Derrick's shoulder, as Derrick tries to avoid the shot. Derrick slips under a jab from Harper. Harper fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Derrick gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Harper drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Harper. That's going to take a lot out of him. Derrick prevents the takedown attempt.
Derrick lands a body shot in the clinch.
Harper is breathing heavily. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Derrick creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Derrick lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Robert Harper has been cut. Derrick is working Harper over against the cage. Derrick pushes Harper back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Derrick tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Derrick prevents a takedown attempt there.
Derrick connects with a massive knee from the clinch and Harper goes down! Derrick jumps into full mount looking to finish!
Harper is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Derrick controlling his opponent. Oh Harper is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Derrick trying to control but Harper is having none of it. Derrick might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Harper haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Harper seems to have got his legs back now. Harper working to try and regain half guard.
Derrick working for a guillotine from mount but Harper is in no mood to give up. Harper bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Derrick can do anything to dispel that myth. Derrick tries to land a sweep but no joy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Harper forces his way into half guard. Harper is trying to work for a kimura but Derrick is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Harper is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Derrick doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Harper. Harper looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Harper seems to be working for a kimura but Derrick defends the submission attempt. Harper is trying for a kimura here. Derrick looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Harper wins by kimura!
