Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Druvis Dumandbass (ranked 7076 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lord Mephistopheles (ranked 4745 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Sandra Marshall and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dumandbass tries to clinch there but Mephistopheles circles away.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Dumandbass enables Mephistopheles to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dumandbass manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Dumandbass is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mephistopheles slips nicely into half guard.
Mephistopheles looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Let's hope that Mephistopheles has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dumandbass really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Mephistopheles is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Dumandbass is trying to escape and Mephistopheles transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Dumandbass is forced to tap! Nice work there by Mephistopheles! Very nice indeed!

After the fight, Lord Mephistopheles was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
