Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bob Hauweg (ranked 1692 p4p, 230 weight class) and Rae Fon (ranked 1170 p4p, 160 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Fon's choice of entrance music: Kojak Theme. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bob Hauweg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rae Fon! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Thiago Cunha and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fon needs to keep his hands up - Hauweg had a free shot at his head there. Hauweg darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Fon pushes Hauweg off looking to stand but Hauweg dives back in and keeps control.
Hauweg thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Fon looks like he's trying to stand up.
Fon felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Fon is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Hauweg throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Hauweg stops Fon from getting back to his feet.
Hauweg looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Fon taking some punishment here, with Hauweg in his half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hauweg winds up and cracks Fon with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Hauweg has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fon is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hauweg scores with a couple of nice shots. Hauweg thows a huge punch but Fon dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hauweg is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Fon is looking to escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hauweg takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Hauweg thows a huge punch but Fon dodges it nicely.

Fon is rocked! Hauweg stops Fon from getting back to his feet.
Fon is still in real trouble! Can Hauweg finish him? Fon seems to have recovered his senses. Hauweg looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Fon tries to kick Hauweg off but Hauweg keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Hauweg thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fon's head. Ground and pound from Hauweg. Hauweg is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Fon is hurt! He's hurt bad - Hauweg fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Fon from any more punishment! Congratulations to Hauweg! Great finish!
