Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erik Friedrichsen (ranked 4399 p4p, 380 weight class) and Delirious Creation (ranked 21835 p4p, 491 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Erik Friedrichsen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Delirious Creation!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Creation changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Friedrichsen tries to avoid it but Creation manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Friedrichsen to the ground. Friedrichsen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Creation steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Friedrichsen.
Nice takedown defense from Friedrichsen. No joy for Creation on that attempt.
Friedrichsen moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Creation drives through with a takedown into Friedrichsen's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Creation won't allow Friedrichsen to sweep him here.
Creation looking to sit in guard and control but Friedrichsen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Creation told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Friedrichsen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Creation is keeping the position for now.
Creation looking to hit a scissor sweep but Friedrichsen is one step ahead there.

Friedrichsen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Creation has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Friedrichsen has managed to get both his arms back between Creation's legs - danger averted.
Creation keeping full guard, as Friedrichsen tries to pass.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Friedrichsen pushing down on Creation's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Friedrichsen sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Friedrichsen prevents Creation from improving his position.
Creation flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Friedrichsen looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Creation wants to get back to full guard.
Still in half guard, Friedrichsen seems content to control.
Creation is looking for a sweep. Friedrichsen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Creation is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Friedrichsen seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Creation tries to get to full guard but Friedrichsen has control of the leg.
Friedrichsen moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Creation.
Friedrichsen trying to control the action but Creation is working from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Creation is being controlled here.
Friedrichsen tries to advance to mount but Creation denies him.
Creation is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Friedrichsen staying calm.
Friedrichsen has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Creation tries to strike but it doesn't land.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Creation is trying to improve his position.
Friedrichsen tries to move to mount but Creation blocks the move with his legs.
Creation tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Creation looking for a sweep but Friedrichsen has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Friedrichsen looking to control and managing it successfully.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
This is a sustained period of stalling by Friedrichsen.
Creation swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Erik Friedrichsen dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Friedrichsen feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Creation sprawling to the canvas! Creation rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Friedrichsen finish him?!


It looks like Delirious Creation has been cut.
Creation will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Creation clinches with his opponent.
Creation's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Creation wants to take the fight to the mat but Friedrichsen manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Creation is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Friedrichsen is defending well for now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Creation tries a knee to the head but Friedrichsen blocks it.
I was talking to Friedrichsen's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Friedrichsen lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Friedrichsen lands a nice uppercut.


Creation is rocked!
Friedrichsen pushes Creation against the cage. Friedrichsen is working some dirty boxing. Friedrichsen pushes off with a quick right hook! Creation goes down! Creation tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Friedrichsen moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Erik Friedrichsen!
